AFP Fort Worth Metro Scholarships

Professional excellence is a hallmark of the AFP Fort Worth Metro Chapter. In recognition of the remarkable accomplishments of our members, the chapter has established a program of awards and scholarships for its members.

These scholarships exist to help meet the needs of registration and related educational expenses. We relieve some financial need so our members can devote more of their energies to pursuing productive careers and lives.

Our scholarship program is competitive and members are encouraged to enter the process as early as possible. Recipients are selection on the basis of:

  • Professional achievement
  • Service to the profession
  • Contributions to their organization and community
  • Personal and professional goals
  • Financial need

Available scholarships include:

  • AFP Member Development Scholarship – for any non-AFP member employed by a qualifying 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization with an operating budget of $1 million or less annually.
  • International Conference Chamberlain Scholarship – for AFP members attending an AFP International Conference on Fundraising as a registered participant for the first time.
  • John A. Davis Scholarship – for AFP members who are experienced development professionals, wanting to gain new or more in-depth knowledge in the field of fundraising.
  • Bill McDanel Endowed Scholarship – for AFP members with less than five years of experience in the profession.
  • James R. Holcomb Certified Fund Raising Professional (CFRE) Reimbursement Scholarship – for AFP members who have demonstrated a commitment to the profession and are seeking to further their professional excellence.
